Cosima

Illustrations for educational book about Grazia Deledda
This illustrated book project tells the story of Grazia Deledda, also known as Cosima (from one of her books). Created for a STEM program in Sardinia, it introduces children to the life of a brave and talented woman who dared to follow her dream of becoming a writer at a time when this was neither common nor widely accepted.

Ninna nanna is a winning illustration project for a contest promoted by Bimbostore and the Teelent organization. The brief invited artists to create illustrations for sustainable tote bags sold in Bimbostore shops, spaces dedicated to babies and young children.
The project explores the deep bond between human birth and natural harmony. To express this idea, I chose the carillon as a visual metaphor, placing a newborn baby at its center and surrounding them with natural elements. Together, these elements evoke protection, balance, and care—symbolizing how nature can nurture peaceful sleep and a harmonious beginning to life.
The other two illustrations following are all inspired from the first winning proposal but they show different ways nature can take care of the newbornbaby: second is a bird gently carrying him and third is the universe inside and surrounding the newborn from the first moment of his existence.

Illustrated STEM project dedicated to Hypatia, the ancient scientist and the first female mathematician. The project is built around a series of vector illustrations that follow a narrative storytelling approach and can be used as a puzzle for children, helping them learn graphic open-source software such as Inkscape. I personally designed all the characters and settings, following the educational guidelines provided by TechLab for Kids, the organization I collaborated with.
The project is created by Techlab4kids https://www.techlab4kids.it/

This is my illustration for the contest "Grafica in lattina" (Graphics on a can) promoted by Civale's Brewery and Ale Comics Festival. The aim of the contest is to create a label for the new beer "Skàldfifl" which takes its name from an old Norse legend about Odin and a magic drink. The illustration combines the Norse Culture with a Pop culture element such as the Transformers Logo modified to portray Odin metamorphosis in half man and half Bird.

An illustrated project I made for a contest. The aim of the contest was to design a calendar for children. With my character Bradipo I decided to portray the idea of a slow happy life and with him we'll enjoy every season.

This illustrated book project was fully developed by me, from the construction of the cover to the printed illustrations. The cover is made of wood, covered with cork, and bound with natural rope, emphasizing a tactile and handcrafted quality.
The subject of the illustrations are real life moments of the couple who commissioned me this work for having a special gift and object that could recall the magical moments of their lovestory.
